Our organization is committed to advocating for a safe home for Angelenos in all aspects of civic life. Our families deserve to live and work in neighborhoods without fear of violence or crime. Our kids deserve to go to safe, quality neighborhood schools regardless of their zip code. Our small business owners and workers deserve to know they’ll be safe on the job and come home to their families at the end of the day. Our residents deserve to live authentically and practice their diverse ethnic, cultural and religious traditions without the threat of violence or discrimination. In building a safer LA, we can bring more investment in our communities, better jobs for our workers, and a better quality of life for all Angelenos.
We believe that a Safer LA is one in which everyone benefits, and that we must bring everyone to the table to participate in collective action—from concerned Angelenos, to community groups, to our business community, to workers and their unions, to elected officials. Through community engagement, policy advocacy, and strategic alliances, we seek to break down the barriers that divide us and find real solutions to the problems Los Angeles faces.
